Transportation Coordinator II
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Handle domestic and international shipment activity. Be the SME for international and hazardous material shipping regulations and requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.
· Follow processes, work instructions, MSPs, and other written and/or verbal instructions.
· Operate a powered forklift
· Assure that shipments match packing documents and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
· Assist with the packaging and paperwork of outbound goods.
· Review "to be shipped" reports to prepare and process shipment of customer orders.
· Maintain inventory of shipping and packing materials and supplies.
· Prepare paperwork and arrange for shipment of domestic packages.
· Prepare paperwork, arrange and execute shipments of goods domestically.
· Prepare paperwork, arrange and execute shipments of small packages and freight internationally.
· Subject matter expert in International shipment regulations and requirements.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
· Assist all departments with their shipping/logistics issues.
· Assist with crating, skidding, etc. of equipment for shipment with a thorough understanding of packing security needs
· Responsible for the proper packaging and paperwork preparation for Hazardous Material Shipments.
· Prepare air bills and arrange for shipment of overnight packages.
· Ensure everything that leaves the facility is packed tightly & safely.
· Knowledge and ability to fully train others in the functions and responsibilities of a Transportation Coordinator I.
· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with four years related experience or an associate’s degree and two years related experience.
BASIC SKILLS:
· Proficient with Syteline
· Ability to speak, read and write English.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
· Ability to perform basic math functions.
· Possesses basic computer skills
· Ability to resolve moderate and complex problems.
· Ability to clearly communicate with peers and supervisors.
· Ability to operate a powered forklift
· Ability to complete standard forms and spreadsheets compliant to quality procedures.

· Possesses well developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to interact professionally with logistical suppliers.
· Possesses good computer experience, specifically in the area of logistical tracking.
· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision.
