Traffic & Shipping Specialist (Temporary)
Lebanon, IN | Part-Time | 3–5 Month Assignment | $40–45/hour
Pro Resources is seeking an experienced Traffic & Shipping Specialist to support a leading manufacturing facility in Lebanon, IN. This is a temporary, part-time assignment expected to last 3–5 months, ideal for a seasoned shipping or logistics professional who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping teams succeed.
In this role, you'll work alongside the shipping team, providing hands-on training to new Shipping Clerks while ensuring outbound shipping documentation and processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
Pay
- $40–45/hour, based on experience
Schedule
- Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week
- Preferred schedule is 4:00 PM – 8:00/9:00 PM with some flexibility
What You'll Do
- Train and mentor Shipping Clerks on shipping procedures and best practices.
- Provide hands-on guidance with outbound shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), Packing Lists, Advance Ship Notices (ASNs), and truck routing.
- Assist with customer-specific shipping requirements and retailer portals.
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and help resolve problems quickly.
- Support the shipping team by improving processes and ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and data entry.
- Serve as a resource for shipping questions and day-to-day operational support.
What We're Looking For
- 7–10 years of experience in a traffic office, shipping, transportation, or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of outbound shipping documentation and shipping processes.
- Experience working with major retailers or big box customers is highly preferred.
- Previous experience training or mentoring shipping personnel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and quickly become a trusted resource.
