Job Duties:
1. Reading measurement data from our client's proprietary instrumentation systems.
2. Interpreting the raw data into measurements that are used for manufacturing
quality control functions.
3. Communicating with one or more machine control systems, typically PLCs, to
interlock measurement and operational functions.
4. Maintaining setup information relating to the parts being processed.
5. Interfacing with customer computer systems via a variety of methods,
including TCP/IP sockets, or SQL data bases, for the purpose of receiving
part setup parameters and communicating measurement results.
Background Profile:
1. A minimum of five years of experience writing programs in C++, and Object
Pascal, Delphi, or C# is required.
2. A working knowledge of SQL is required.
3. Familiarity with software development on Windows 10 is required. Knowledge
of Unix operating systems would be a plus, but is not required.
4. A bachelor degree in computer technology, engineering technology, computer
science, etc. is desirable, however a candidate without a college degree is
acceptable if they have at least 10 years of experience in computer
programming with one of the languages specified above.
5. Would prefer a candidate with experience in industrial equipment, or writing
software in a factory setting, but this is optional.
6. Experience programming Rockwell, Siemens, or Mitsubishi PLCs would be a
plus, but is not required.
