Shift Supervisor
Location: Lafayette, IN

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8 AM - 8 PM / 8 PM - 8 AM), rotating every 6 weeks on a 3-2-2 schedule (work half the year)

Position Summary:
As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee safe and efficient production operations, ensure quality control, and drive team performance. You will be responsible for plant operations during your shift, including supervising production employees, maintaining workflow, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance
- Foster a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting audits.
- Act as the Incident Commander for plant emergency response situations.
Production & Efficiency
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring schedules and priorities are met.
- Monitor workflow, resources, and equipment to maximize efficiency.
- Recommend workforce adjustments and participate in plant improvement projects.
- Maintain security of the plant during off-shifts and weekends.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet quality specifications and resolve issues promptly.
- Utilize systematic problem-solving techniques to determine root causes.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor hourly production employees.
- Provide on-the-job training and performance coaching.
- Set clear expectations for safety, quality, and conduct.
- Enforce company policies and administer corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in hiring and termination decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field (or equivalent experience)
✔ 5+ years of production supervision experience
✔ Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
✔ Ability to work with all levels of personnel to meet plant objectives
✔ Excellent communication and analytical skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Climate-controlled, well-lit manufacturing facility
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Standing, walking, and using hands for handling materials
