Position: Saw Operator (3rd Shift)
Pay: $21/hr
Shift: 9:00pm – 7:00am (Sunday–Thursday, overtime as needed)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Saw Operator to join our 3rd shift team. The Saw Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining saw equipment used in cutting and processing grating materials. This role involves machine setup, adjustments, quality checks, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, adjust, and perform basic setups on saw equipment for grating production.
- Read and interpret production orders, work instructions, and measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect raw materials and finished cuts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine equipment checks and assist with minor troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ensure materials are properly staged, cut, and labeled for the next phase of production.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and issues.
- Assist with other production duties as needed to support team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous machine operation or saw experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and basic blueprints or work orders.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Safety-conscious with good attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
