Pro Resources is looking for a Robotic Welder in Williamsport, IN. This facility manufactures parts used in off-highway construction, mining, and heavy-duty trucking equipment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Measure, cut, and assemble metal components using electric arc welding with inert gas.
Prepare metal surfaces, check gas ratios, and inspect welds for quality.
Clean welds to ensure they are free of spatter or defects.
Repair welds following approved procedures and inspection criteria.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as replacing wire or changing weld tips.
Use approved quality tools to check parts for accuracy to specifications.
Accurately clock in jobs and parts to update status for office personnel.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Understand and properly use machine safety features (light guards, emergency stops, etc.).
Meet or exceed company quality standards.
Follow inspection procedures outlined in the quality manual and WPS Matrix.
Use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, tape measure, protractor, square, weld gauge) to verify product accuracy.
Refer to the quality manual for task guidance.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Apply weld terminology and operate multiple types of gauges.
Testing:
Any Production Welder must be given a weld test so that this company can gauge the extent of their skill. This test will be administered by the Weld Shop supervisor or their designee. This test is pass/fail. No employees will be allowed to weld without passing a weld test.
This facility will administer a Vision test will be given every 6 months to ensure that vision is still acceptable for welding. Tests will be performed in weld shop office by qualified personnel.
