Compensation
- Remuneration: $55000 yearly + bonus
Job Duties
- Provide information and answer questions for prospective drivers. (In person, phone, and internet)
- Receive & review driver applications. Make determination if the applicant qualifies by completing the following:
- Order MVR, Criminal History, PSP Report.
- Review all consumer reports to determine if the applicant meets the hiring guidelines.
- Verify last 3 years of employment history and last 3 years of drug & alcohol testing.
- Review driver’s DOT long form physical.
- Ensure all information for candidate is accurate on all initial documentation per DOT guidelines and policies.
- Make outbound phone calls to build pipeline of potential candidates.
- Set up and conduct interview.
- Coordinate drug tests.
- Provide Safety Manager with a weekly report of drivers currently being processed.
- Schedule orientation-make hotel or travel arrangements, notify appropriate staff.
- Weekly update with Recruiting Report: lists drivers in process, new, terminations, & misc.
- Assist Safety Director with return of equipment/processing termination records.
- Distribute communications to driver mailboxes upon request.
- Listen to driver concerns and relay those concerns to management personnel.
- Ability to achieve goals set forth by management.
Background Profile
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED), Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years in the trucking industry, preferably with hiring and application compliance.
- Experience with Tenstreet or Driver Reach preferred.
- Prior recruiting and/or sales experience preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may be used at the discretion of management.
