Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Technician to join our team on 1st shift. In this role, you’ll support the Quality team by inspecting products, documenting findings, and helping ensure that our orthopedic bracing products meet company and regulatory standards. Pay and shift
- $17.00 an hour
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing basic inspections and quality control checks on products, materials, and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This entry-level role involves inspecting products for defects, recording inspection results, and working closely with production teams to maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain procedures, specifications and standards for the quality control of United Ortho products
· IQCI (Incoming Quality Control Inspections)
· Generated AQL Checklists
· RMAs processing
· FG Receiving Report - Pass / Fail Notifications
· Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve product quality.
· Maintain a clean and organized inspection area to ensure efficiency.
Secondary Responsibilities:
· Assist in Root Cause of Faulty Products
· Run Various Tests on Finished Products including non-destructive testing methods, gauge design and procurement, sampling and inspection methods and visual acceptance standards.
· Assist in Documentation Control initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in quality inspection is a plus.
· 2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related field.
· Using knowledge of ISO 9000 or 13485
· Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
· Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
· May require lifting objects up to 25-50 lbs.
