Quality Inspector
1st shift: 6:30 am - 3pm
Starting pay $17/hr. (Temp to hire) After 90 days, $18/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Inspector who will also be responsible for performing rework on non-conforming products. This dual role involves inspecting products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards, identifying defects, and performing corrective actions to bring products into compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection:
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Report and document non-conformances and collaborate with the production team to determine root causes.
- Assist in audits, process validations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Rework & Repair:
- Perform hands-on rework on defective or non-conforming products based on established procedures or work instructions.
- Document rework activities, including materials used and time spent.
- Collaborate with engineering or quality teams to develop or update rework procedures.
- Ensure reworked items meet all quality standards before release.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a similar role.
- Experience with rework or repair of mechanical, electronic, or assembly-based products is a strong plus.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings, work instructions, and inspection documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require standing for extended periods and working with small parts or tools.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on the work environment.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
