Quality Control Technologist
Direct Hire Opportunity
$17-$21/hr  (based on experience)

Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 from 7 pm until 7 am, with flexibility to come in every other week on Tuesday off for waste management projects and other training and development
Reports to Quality Control Manager

         Ability to Perform Following Tests:

o   Oven exit moisture

o   Finishing moisture

o   Salt contents

o   Color

o   pH

o   Count per pound

o   Breakage

o   Length Bag and label checks

o   Case count checks

o   Bag weight checks

         Complete understanding and knowledge of how to perform Metal detection checks and what actions to take if there is a deviation

         Complete understanding and knowledge of how to perform CQP checks and what actions to take if there is a deviation.


         Perform CCP and CQP verifications of the QC Operators performing the checks


         Monitor records are completed correctly and all information is entered into BakerQC Data base as applicable

         Complete understanding of the Non Conformance Program and how to place finished goods on hold in the Epicor Electronic System, perform the inspection processing and process to DMR.


         Understanding of Rework/WIP process and able to follow up with operations regarding reworking of holds or WIP and ensuring documented properly according to actions taken


         Able to initiate CARs and collect and document information when deviations and/or Food Safety Incidents occur on the CAR form.


         Ability to complete Foreign Object Reports and collect foreign material and information and document on the Foreign Object Report


         Enter test results into computer as required


         Verification of Calibrations being performed


         Communicate with Production Supervisors regarding compliance of product- notify if product is not running to spec and when adjustments need to be taken or advise if product should be trashed


         Communicate between Production and Quality Control Operators on when changeovers are taking place and monitor Quality Control Operators are using the Changeover Cart as applicable


         Perform post cleaning line inspections- PreOp Inspections


         Perform Post Cleaning ATP and Allersnap Swabbing of Lines as Applicable


         Ability to complete required Pre-Op and swabbing worksheets to document actions and work taken; Ability to document corrective actions taken if needed
