- Compensation is from 50,000 USD to 60,000 USD per year
Job Duties
- Business Planning: Assist in formulating and executing the QC department's business plan.
- Team Oversight: Support QC supervisors in managing daily activities and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Training & Development: Ensure proper training materials and plans are in place, and provide ongoing feedback to promote continuous growth.
- Non-Conformance Management: Directly support internal non-conformance activities, including Gemba investigations.
- Quality Improvement: Propose and implement quality improvements in production processes.
- Customer Reporting: Complete reports for customers (8D, capability, etc.) and communicate with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
- Containment Implementation: Support the implementation of initial containment for quality issues.
- Quality Assessments: Review and approve abnormal tags, sorts, and new gauge validations.
- Technical Support: Oversee major gauge and QA machine issues, providing technical support as needed.
- Leadership & Environment: Maintain a positive work environment that promotes excellence, teamwork, and growth. Manage direct reports' time clock, overtime, and vacation time.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 systems, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Additional Projects: Take on additional projects as assigned by management.
Background Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, metrology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5-6 years in the automotive manufacturing industry or a related field.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Management & Team Building: Proven ability to build and lead teams effectively
- Problem Solving: Expertise in Shainin, Six Sigma, 8D, and 5-Why methodologies
- Quality Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in SPC, Gauge MSA, PFMEA, control plans, Minitab, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for interactions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Technical Writing: Strong technical writing skills.
