Quality Lab Lead / Quality Technician Lead (Automotive) – Direct Hire

Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established automotive manufacturing facility in Berne, IN to hire a Quality Lab Lead for a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.
This position is ideal for someone with automotive quality experience who enjoys working hands-on with inspection, quality systems, and continuous improvement while also leading and mentoring a small team.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support daily operations of a 6-person Quality Control Lab team
Perform root cause analysis, Gemba investigations, and non-conformance reviews
Support PPAP submissions and customer quality requirements
Conduct internal audits in compliance with IATF 16949 standards
Maintain control plans, check sheets, and quality documentation
Prepare customer-facing quality reports and corrective action documentation
Communicate with customers regarding quality issues (occasional travel required)
Manage team scheduling, training plans, and timekeeping
Promote continuous improvement and quality compliance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Metrology, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of automotive manufacturing or quality experience
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, SPC, PFMEA, and MSA
Experience with quality audits and corrective actions
Leadership or team lead experience preferred
Proficiency with Excel, Minitab, PowerPoint, and quality documentation
Compensation & Benefits
$50,000–$60,000 annual salary (based on experience)
