Project Engineer (Direct Hire)

Pro Resources is partnering with a growing electronics manufacturing organization in Kokomo, IN to hire a Project Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. This role focuses on managing technical client projects, performing analytical investigations, and delivering clear, high-quality reports that help solve complex manufacturing challenges.
Pay & Schedule
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Minimal travel may be required
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and resolve assigned client technical issues
Manage projects from investigation through final reporting
Prepare detailed technical reports including analysis, findings, and solutions
Perform analytical testing using techniques such as chromatography, microscopy, XRF, FTIR, and related methods
Provide follow-up customer support after project completion
Maintain knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and industry standards
Obtain and maintain IPC certification
Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts
Support internal initiatives including compliance, software support, and process improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related)
Electronics manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Chemistry knowledge is a plus
Understanding of quality assurance and reliability engineering concepts beneficial
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Analytical problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Proficiency with computers and office software
Ability to apply scientific methods to troubleshooting and investigation
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
