Shift and Compensation
- Monday-Friday 8-5 PM
- Compensation is from 50,000 USD to 60,000 USD per year + Commission
Job Duties
- Serve as a primary customer contact, providing professional and courteous communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Support Sales in developing quotations, formal proposals, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
- Enter customer orders into the ERP system and maintain accuracy of all associated records.
- Track, follow up, and report on leads, customer inquiries, and quotations.
- Support the sales cycle from inquiry → quotation → order → delivery → post-order transition to Operations.
- Confirm ship dates, scheduled releases, order status, and communicate updates proactively.
- Support customers and internal teams with product knowledge, availability, and recommendations.
- Maintain organized documentation, customer files, and CRM/ERP data integrity.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and prospects through ongoing communication and responsiveness.
- Review and verify customer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, terms, quantities, and specifications.
- Conduct routine follow-up calls/emails related to quotations, proposals, and outstanding opportunities.
- Provide sales representatives and management with visibility into order status and customer issues.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and revenue-enhancing activities.
- Conduct research on prospective and existing customers to support targeted marketing and sales initiatives.
- Assist with resolving customer issues, conflicts, and complaints by coordinating with internal departments.
- Work with Engineering to obtain or revise drawings, evaluate alternate materials, and clarify technical requirements.
- Assist with project management activities, ensuring customer projects move through defined processes and deadlines are met.
- Participate in sales forecasting, planning, and sales growth initiatives.
- Support EDI assignments, document maintenance, manual allocations, and ERP data accuracy.
- Provide cost quotations and proposals that reflect customer requirements and company profitability goals.
- Enter vendor, supplier, and customer data into ERP systems.
- Process customer deposits and support banking reconciliation.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse staff on material availability, order fulfillment, and scheduling.
- Attach and maintain documents and records associated with orders, quotes, and purchases.
- Assist with internal audits, QMS compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform reporting and administrative tasks as required by Sales and Management.
Background Profile
- High School Diploma required; Associate Degree or higher preferred (business, technical, or related field).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales support.
- Experience creating quotations, proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and general business software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
