1st shift Production Supervisor opportunity in Wabash! Direct hire opportunity!  5: 00am-3: 30pm, 4-10 hour days. M-Th.  Excellent compensation/benefits package!

  

 

JOB SUMMARY:

This position ensures the manufacture of world class products by supervising team associates, organizing, and monitoring work flow.  The essential job functions of the position are supervising, planning, coordinating, organizing, and controlling production.  Primary responsibilities are to ensure the safe and efficient production of a world class product and areof proper quantity, quality, cost and produced on schedule, so that it meets the demands of our valued customers.  Ensures assigned areas of responsibility meets all safety, performance and quality goals.  Effectively managers associates to ensure peak performance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

         Maintains safe and clean work environment by communicating to team associates on the use of all needed PPE, control points, equipment, resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

 

         Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job/production results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining  employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.  Organizes workforce for smooth operations.

 

         Involvement with training and evaluating team associates performance.

 

         Develop personal growth strategies and opportunities.

 

         Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; facilitate cost reductions; develop reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; sustain collaboration within and between departments.

 

         Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

 

         Ensures all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are maintained.

 

         Ensures operation of equipment by troubleshooting problems and notifying Engineering/Maintenance for assistance as needed.

 

         Lead/Assist in evaluating new equipment and techniques.

 

         Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.

 

         Presents suggestions to leadership group in the form of enhancements to systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements.

 

         Is company front-line leader in implementing change where and when needed.

 

         Recognizes and communicates opportunities by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.

 

         Maintains professional and technical knowledge by benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and through collaboration with leadership group, fellow supervisors and team.

 

         Contributes to team successes by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

         Responsible for ensuring proper housekeeping levels are maintained.

 

         Verifies correct identification of products.

 

         Distributes production reports as required to the Production Manager, as well as completes run production sheets or reports for shifts.

 

 



REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferred but high school diploma or equivalent accepted. 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment required.  Supervised a minimum of 30-40 employees. 
  • Preferred experience supervising in a regulated in dustry (ex . FDA, ISO, TS). 
  • Assembly experience an advantage.
