Position Summary:
The Mixer Operator 2nd assists in operating mixing equipment to produce high-quality adhesive products safely and efficiently. This entry-level role involves learning safety protocols, following batch specifications, and supporting overall production quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in batch-making: read batch sheets, gather materials, weigh/load into mixers, operate equipment, and communicate with the lab to ensure specifications are met.
- Inspect and maintain mixers and equipment; clean work areas and tools.
- Follow safety procedures and wear assigned PPE.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read batch sheets and product specifications
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
- Forklift operation experience or willingness to become certified
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Team player with good communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment
