Pro Resources is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced 1st Shift Powder Coat Team Lead for our client in Lafayette. As a leading provider of innovative suspension systems, our client is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity in their Powder Coating production area. Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Responsibilities:
As a 1st Shift Powder Coat Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Powder Coating production area on the 1st shift towards meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals and standards.
- Providing assistance in maintaining a high level of organization, preparation, and efficiency at the start of each shift.
- Assisting with the hanging of products and preparation of surfaces for coating.
- Operating and adjusting spray guns to complete coatings.
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out promptly.
- Identifying and addressing production issues, communicating effectively with the next level of management.
- Training new and existing employees on company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Overseeing the team's adherence to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Applying Lean Manufacturing tools to problem-solving and process improvements.
- Providing timely responses to internal and external customer needs and issues.
- Ensuring the completion of 6S/TPM processes.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Powder Coating experience is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer contact skills (Leadership experience preferred).
- Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and predictable attendance.
