Title: Temporary Packaging/Shipping Attendant
Hours- 2nd Shift- 3:00pm to 11:30pm
Pay-$18.00
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pick and Packer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately pick and pack orders for shipment according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and package steel angle, pipe, ring mounts, hardware, and all steel components per the customer packing slip.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials and methods.
- Label packages with shipping labels and ensure correct shipping information is provided.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace, including shelving units and packing stations.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding order processing, packing, and shipping.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Forklift experience a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to operate a hand scanners, hand saw, band saw and operate a stretch wrap machine and banding equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Must demonstrate ability to read, write and communicate in English.
