Packaging Department Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our Packaging Department. This position involves a variety of hands-on tasks, including operating a sit-down forklift, transferring products from mix vessels to packaging lines, labeling, and preparing final products for shipment. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, the ability to use a handheld scanner, and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
Follow pack-out instructions to transfer product from mix vessels to final packaging.
Accurately label and pack products for shipment.
Read and utilize scales to ensure proper measurements.
Perform quality checks and ensure packaging meets company standards.
Use handheld scanners for inventory and tracking purposes.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
Prior forklift experience (sit-down preferred); certification a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Steel Toe Boots
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Basic computer literacy and ability to operate handheld scanners.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
