Surface engineering company in Lebanon, IN, needs 1st and 2nd shift Nitriding Technicians to alter the molecular structure of metal components for customers in aerospace, defense, agriculture, oil and gas industries. Seeking candidates with problem solving skills, good work ethics, who can handle multiple priorities well and have great attention to detail. This is a temp-to-hire position. Once hired directly, employees qualify for additional benefits such as medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off (i.E. Vacation), and retirement savings options.
Shift and Compensation
-1st Shift, Monday through Saturday, 9: 00am - 5: 00pm
-2nd Shift, Monday through Saturday, 2: 00pm - 10: 00pm
-Training for 1 month on 1st shift
-Overtime available after training concludes
-$18.00 / Hourly (Higher starting rate possible based on candidates work experience)
-Prepare customer parts for coatings processes: fixturing, blasting, power washing, polishing, grinding, cleaning, masking, etc.
-Operate forklift and overhead cranes
-Use computer production tracking system
-Maintain accurate paperwork and parts counts
-Maintaining clean work area
-Assist other departments as needed
-Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations, policies, and procedures
-Must wear PPE including: face shield, respirator helmet, gloves, ear protection, eye protection, steel-toed boots, etc.
-Excellent attendance is a must.
-U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident (as required by US Dept of Defense).
-Minimum high school diploma, preferred associates and/or trade school degree.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Repeatedly.
-Attention to safety, quality and detail required.
-Mechanical and dexterous skill set required.
-Previous experience in an industrial setting preferred.
-Previous experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes desired, but not required.
-Previous experience with sandblasting and/or power washing preferred, but not required
