Position: Electrical Wiring Assembler
**Position is a short term, ends in January or February. Prior wiring experience.
The position is for a manufacturer of generators and distribution switchboards, switchgears, and control panels. As an electrical wiring assembler, you’ll be responsible for wiring the switchboards, switchgears, control panels and assist in any wiring that needs completed.
Job Responsibilities may include the following:
- Wiring of control panels and switchboards
- Install electrical wiring and various other electrical components.
- Point to Point wiring, crimping/cutting wire, and wire labeling.
- Assemble components of electrical distribution equipment per drawings
- Proper utilization of all common shop tools
- Accurately make measurements in 1/32” increments
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties as required.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Detail oriented person: the work requires attention to detail.
- Perform all functions related to assembly operations with minimal training.
- Must be a self-motivated individual and work well in a team environment.
- Must be competent in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Assure compliance with appropriate quality standards/requirements.
- Responsible for personal and area safety as well as general housekeeping
- Basic math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and common fractions)
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Basic Computer literacy
- Prior wiring / assembly or fabrication experienceï‚· Ability to travel if necessary.
Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, work experience and skill development required.
