Job Title: MANUFACTURING FLOATER
Location: Nappanee
Shift: 1st Shift: Monday- Friday 5am-3:30pm
Pay- $20/hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Paint product with a paint roller.
- Load crane hoist with product for phosphate coating.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Operate and monitor furnaces per established procedures.
- Build heat treat loads: including placement of parts, test material and preparation of load diagrams.
- Perform routine furnace and associated equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair heat treat and saw equipment.
- Prepare product and paperwork for outside processing.
- Determine and set heat treat schedules with team leader and scheduling.
- Assist with training Level I heat treat personnel.
- Set up and operate Saw and/or Tapper by selecting, installing, and adjusting required tooling and fixtures.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections per ISO procedure frequencies.
- Observe machine cycles; take measurements and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor and replace tools and adhere to quality and safety procedures.
- Operate shot peen processing equipment and keep product feeding into the machine.
- Load peen material into the blasting machine.
- Identify scrap and alert supervisors as needed.
- Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe work conditions.
- Maintain communication through documentation and quality records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- High school diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) or more years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of furnaces, saws, and shot peen equipment.
- Machine operation, measurement equipment, and tooling application knowledge.
- Ability to program furnace controllers and read blueprints.
- Basic math and computer literacy.
- Understanding of thermal processing effects on materials.
- Conceptual thinking, process improvement, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing demands.
PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
