Pro Resources Staffing, a leader in the staffing industry, is currently searching for qualified candidates for 1st and 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician positions with a local manufacturing facility in Lafayette, IN! The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and facilities for our client. The primary focus will be on machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely problem resolution.
Job Status: Full-time, Direct-Hire
Hours: 1st Shift (6am-3pm) or 2nd Shift (3pm-12am)
Pay: $22.93/hr plus shift premium for 2nd shift

Position Responsibilities:
- Set up machines for various products
- Troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Conduct repair, rebuild, and welding tasks
- Handle lubrication and hand truck repair
- Engage in building repair and maintenance
- Fulfill other duties assigned by the supervisor
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical background
- Welding skills (Tig/Stick)
- Ability to read blueprints (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic)
- Plumbing skills (water, air, and hydraulic)
- Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration
- Strong time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Capability to work at heights up to 25’ using a ladder or man lift
- Availability to work weekends as necessary
Nonessential Skills:
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Work Environment:
The role involves exposure to varying temperature conditions (very hot or cold) and a potentially loud noise level in the work environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to bend, walk, and work in extreme heat and cold
- Capability to climb steps and use ladders, including working at heights
- Readiness to respond quickly to production needs (within approximately 30 seconds)
- Proficiency in lifting heavy parts and equipment
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
