The Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, and repairs maintenance system, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties. - Compensation is from 56,160 USD to 62,400 USD per year
Job Duties
- Visually inspects and tests machinery such as Vandorn, Krauss Maffei, Cincinnati, and HPM Injection Molding Press Machines as well as others
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
- Skilled with Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts.
- Knowledgeable with lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, replacing seals, pumps, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and electrical in other areas within the production facility.
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of establishment and grounds.
- Familiar with cutting torches and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Knowledgeable with Forklift repair and maintaining maintenance records and documentation.
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed work.
- Must be able to work on your own and/or within a team of maintenance technicians.
- Knowledge with purchasing parts needed for machinery and equipment.
- Talented in troubleshooting industrial motors, starters, controls, pumps, hydraulics, and panels.
