Maintenance Technician – Tier 1 (Direct Hire)
Location: Berne, IN
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: As needed
Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)

Pro Resources is hiring a Maintenance Technician – Tier 1 for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing facility in Berne, IN. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot equipment with confidence, and support both mechanical and electrical maintenance across the plant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair CNC machines (including lathes and mills such as Hurco and Mazak)
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and grounds
- Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision
- Repair manual machines including lathes, mills, and saws
- Identify, source, and assist with ordering replacement parts
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to complete maintenance tasks
- Safely operate forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
- Perform routine safety and environmental checks
- Work closely with Machine Service Technicians and support plant-wide maintenance needs
- Use and maintain hand tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and plant maintenance practices
- Understanding of state electrical code preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with minimal direction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Skilled in the use of precision hand tools and measuring equipment
- Must provide personal tools required for the role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position and pass a background check
