Pro Resources Staffing Services in Marion, IN has partnered with a local company that is hiring for a Machinist! This associate will set up and operates various types of machines and equipment to produce parts to close tolerance specifications, and set up charts. He/she will supply his/her own measuring and gauging equipment. Shift and Compensation -$17.73/hour -3rd shift Job Duties (All job functions required in shop, lathe, mills, grinders, etc.) -Die setting -CNC knowledge required (Fanuc and or HAAS controls) -Empty cutting oil catch pans under machines daily -Operate slug shaker as need -Set up and operate various types of tool room and punch press equipment -Plans and arranges machining sequence, confirms tool design intent by utilizing various measuring instrumentation to close tolerances -Troubleshoots and diagnoses forming problems with progressive stamping dies -Operate die cart and crane to move and lift dies -Completes tooling changes, sharpening and repair in die -Complete general maintenance and cleaning on dies -Operates PIVs -Work with and understand blueprints with close tolerance -Ability to work overtime as needed-Grinding -Drill Sharpening -Tool design and hand sharpening (cutting tools) -Upkeep of machines, minor maintenance
Background Profile

-High School Diploma/GED

-Basic mathematical understanding and ability (add, subtract, multiply, and divide), practical application of percentages and ratios

-Practical algebra, geometric, construction and essentials of trigonometry

-Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

-Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form

-Deal with several abstracts and concrete variables

-Basic computer skills needed to enter data and look up job information

-Write instructions in moderate to simple sentences to provide manufacturing information

-Must be able to communicate technical information between tool design and manufacturing activities -Problem-solve with engineering team with die design and improvement recommendations

-One + years in a tool shop environment

-Introduction to Machining, Milling Process courses completed at Trade School-preferred

-Emphasis in Stampings and 6 month Press Die set up or machine repair experience-preferred

-Prior CNC experience

-Walking, standing, and moving for 8 hour shift

-Use of hands, arms, fingers regularly

-Occasionally lift 50+ pounds

-Assisted 2 person lift anything over 35 pounds

-Load product onto pallets as needed
