Pro Resources is looking for candidates for a local distributor and manufacturer of over ten thousand products to the cake decorating, candy making, kitchen tools, and wedding accessories industries. Has been in business since the mid-1960's. Looking for candidates to operate a machine that performs packaging functions.

Shift and Compensation
  • 2nd Shift (3: 30pm-12am)
  • $13.50/hourly

Job Duties
  • Operates and runs machine that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, color dying, or wrapping containers by performing the following duties
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine
  • Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor
  • Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as opening valves, changing forming and cutting dies, setting guides, or clearing away damaged product containers
  • Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications
  • Feeds product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloads packaged product
  • Replenishes packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels
  • Mounts supplies on spindles or places supplies in hopper or other feeding devices
  • Must maintain an acceptable attendance record as per company standards
  • Positions and holds container in machine and depresses pedal, presses button, or moves lever to clean, glue, label, sew, or staple container
  • Follows Hygiene and Sanitation Policies
  • Loads ingredients into mixing machine hopper or directs other workers in performing this task
  • Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency and color, and turns lever to unload mixture into container
  • Able to see difference in colors. Work with powdered food dyes and liquid solvents
  • Marks material with identifying information
  • Record amounts of material or items received or distributed
  • Reads production work orders and recipes
  • Weights and counts items for distribution within plant to insure conformance to company standards
  • Special projects as required.

Background Profile
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (or equivalent), or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Required to frequently lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel and squat
  • Required to possess vision abilities that include close, distant and peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Able to withstand working in a climate controlled environment around operating machinery and conveyors
