Pro Resources is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team in West Lebanon, Indiana. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, precision fabrication experience, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves cutting and joining metals and materials to produce manufactured parts to exact specifications, working closely with other crews and lead personnel to meet customer requirements.
Essential Functions
- Read blueprints and technical drawings; take measurements to plan layout and welding procedures
- Determine appropriate welding equipment and methods based on drawing specifications
- Set up components for welding, including cutting and sizing materials to specification
- Prepare parts for welding using appropriate tools and equipment
- Align components using calipers, rulers, and similar tools; clamp pieces and fixtures as needed
- Weld components using manual and semi-automatic equipment in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)
- Repair assemblies and components, including filling gaps and correcting defects
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws
- Maintain equipment to ensure continued safe operation
- Participate in daily 6S activities and ongoing TFOS initiatives
Qualifications
- AWS welding certification preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding required; TIG welding experience preferred
- Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and manual tools (swagers, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Ability to accurately enter production data into Epicor
- Willingness to learn and apply Operational Excellence and TFOS principles
- Willingness to support other areas of production as needed
- Proficiency in English required
- Must have welding helmet
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions.
- Strong attendance and reliability are required.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and twisting for up to 10 hours per shift.
