Pro Resources is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our client's team as a Logistics Coordinator at their Lafayette, IN location. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of materials domestically and internationally. Job Status: CONTRACT- expected to last 4-6 months or more
Pay: $23-25/hr
Hours: 7am-4pm, M-F
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to domestic and international regulations governing the transport and receiving of company materials. Package materials in compliance with these regulations and process shipments accordingly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials. Communicate movements as required and ensure complete documentation, including photographs and relevant paperwork.
- Transactional Information: Organize and distribute transactional information, such as verifying worksheets, receiving parts in WMS (Warehouse Management System), and SAP.
- Reporting: Prepare daily summary reports and communicate regularly with procurement, order entry, trucking companies, and customers to address any issues.
- Order Management: Research aged orders to ensure timely shipment to customers. Investigate pick and pack errors and enter discrepancies for items received short, over, or damaged.
- Cross-Training: Cross-train in multiple areas of the distribution center to enhance flexibility and operational knowledge.
- System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot within the WM system to ensure smooth operations and support 8D when needed to identify and implement solid actions to avoid recurrence of issues.
Requirements:
- Industry Experience: Automotive industry experience is preferred, especially in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and/or off-highway vehicles.
- SAP Proficiency: Capable of creating and updating sales orders within SAP.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
- Time Management: Strong time-management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Inspection Knowledge: Familiarity with measurement inspection gauges.
- Pre-Employment: Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
