LIGHTING ASSEMBLER
Job Description: To service all areas with material and supplies as necessary. Prepare material as required for assembly. Maintain raw materials inventory to ensure the integrity of quality and accuracy of inventory.
Shift- 1st 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay- $17
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Enter inventory transactions real time (as they happen). Correct negative balances immediately.
2. To ensure that the material used matches the job run.
3. Be sure that material is labeled correctly.
4. Assist in giving breaks when needed as directed by supervisor or Group Leader.
5. Clean and keep the area orderly to ensure the safety of all employees.
6. Sweep aisleways as assigned, empty trash, do not allow bins to overflow.
7. Work in production as directed by supervisor.
8. Ensure material is removed from line/cell at the end of run and returned to inventory warehouse along with proper transactions.
9. Forklift inspection sheets completed daily.
10. All other duties as assigned.
Safety – Maintain a safe work environment through the safe work practices established by Group Dekko. Read and follow the General Safety and Housekeeping Rules that are posted within your facility. Report any unsafe conditions to your immediate Supervisor/Group Leader.
Knowledge & Skills:
Computer skills - data entry, scanning
Basic math skills.
Forklift experience is preferred.
Education, Certificates & or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Summary: Lighting Department - Employee will be responsible for the final assembly, testing and packing of lighting fixtures. This position requires initiative and independence while working as a team, there are 2 to 3 individuals on the assembly line that depend on each other to ensure the product is assembled correctly, checked and packaged. The ideal candidate will have good retention of information, expected to do a lot on their own and remember a lot of processes and be able to report anything that doesn’t look like it’s correct, attention to detail and good dexterity goes a long way. They assemble the fixtures by following a blueprint that shows how to connect all wires, where to drill and or assemble parts, eventually doing functionality tests.
