Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 6:50am – 3:00pm (Mon–Fri)
- 2nd Shift: 2:50pm – 11:00pm (Mon–Fri)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am (Mon–Fri)
Job Summary:
The Lead Operator (Production Shift Lead) is responsible for supervising shift employees and ensuring production, safety, quality, and housekeeping standards are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, process knowledge, and the ability to coordinate workflow efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise machine operators, assemblers, relief operators, and temporary staff.
- Oversee shift operations to ensure machines and processes run smoothly.
- Assign daily work schedules, press assignments, and break times.
- Train, evaluate, and mentor employees; assist with new hire orientation.
- Monitor product quality, packaging, labeling, and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate plant status reports to incoming shift leaders.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve safety concerns, accidents, and equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, and plant operations.
- Ability to operate forklifts, scales, banding machines, and testing equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving ability and a strong commitment to safety.
