Lab Technician

COMPENSATION

$18.00 / hour

SCHEDULE

Flexible: 10–6, 11–7, or 12–8

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Lab Technician supports laboratory operations within a foam manufacturing environment by performing material testing, quality control analyses, and product evaluations in accordance with established procedures. This role ensures foam products meet required specifications for performance, safety, and consistency — playing a critical part in continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily foam tests for the lab.
Cut detailed test samples, perform data entry, and issue certificates of compliance to customers.
Participate in corrective action teams.
Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends as needed.
Effectively communicate with plant associates and managers.
Create and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

Team-oriented personality and willingness to learn

Education	Experience
High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.	At least 2 years of lab testing experience preferred; manufacturing environment experience a plus.
Certifications (Preferred)	Technical Skills
ASQ CQI or CQT certification. Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements a plus. Experience with ISO, AS, or IATF management systems preferred.	Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. SAP experience preferred.
