Job Description

Pro Resources is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for a client in Plymouth, IN. This client is looking for someone who can diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and make the necessary repairs. Apply Today! 

Shift and Compensation 
  • 1st Shift
  • Compensation is from 43,680 USD to 47,840 USD per year
Job Duties
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, then make the necessary repairs as needed.
  • Diagnose plumbing problemsand make repairs as needed.
  • Complete work orders as approved by the Maintenance Director.
  • Account for all tools and equipment assigned to each individual or truck.
  • Keep all tools in good working order.
  • On a routine basis, return all trucks and tractors to Transportation Department for repair and service.  Add oil to crankcase if necessary.
  • Observe all laws and standards asset forth under IOSHA and AHERA.
  • Recommend the need for supplies and/or equipment to the Maintenance Director.
  • Strive to provide a comfortable "living environment" for students and staff.
  • Remove snow from playgrounds, sidewalks, and parking lots of all schools prior to the arrival of parents, staff and buses.
  • Maintains security of all equipment and buildings. 
  • Continual education in this job.
  • Be certified to work onR410A refrigerant systems.
  • Recommend the purchase of custodial supplies for the school district.
  • Inventory and distribute custodian supplies.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with staff, parents, and students.
  • Work on call shifts as assigned in rotation.
  • Keep dock area clean and dock drain open at Plymouth High School.
  • Be familiar with and utilize maintenance manuals provided by equipment suppliers relative to proper settings, maintenance and operation of all equipment. 
    • This includes such equipment as:
      o Boiler and burner operation in all schools
      o Air-conditioning equipment
      o Wall heating units
      o Circulation of air and water throughout buildings
Background Profile
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
