Title: Temporary Warehouse Associate
Pay: $18/hour
Hours: 7am – 3pm
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Job Summary:
The Temporary Warehouse Associate is responsible for processing orders, materials management of incoming/receiving shipments, supporting shipment processing to satisfy the needs of customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Materials management of components in the receiving process.
- ERP re-class, sequencing, and modification to ensure material bin/stock location accuracy.
- Consolidation of bin/stock location materials as needed.
- Cycle Counts and general inventory activities to ensure accuracy or to support processing errors as presented by the customer.
- Responsible for the logistics of customers’ orders: i.e. stocking, picking and packing.
- Maintains warehouse locations to align with inventory accuracy in ERP.
- Picks customer orders as requested for shipment while following customer requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all inventory for resale as required is identified and traceable from receipt and acceptance through delivery to the customer.
- Responsible for reporting any inventory discrepancies to supervisor so they can be investigated.
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of the warehouse to promote safety by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Support 5S initiatives.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements as needed such as scales and forklift check offs.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Assist in determining, along with supervisor, where improvements are required and recommending corrective action when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Must be capable of operating a forklift or will be required to pass a forklift training course.
- Must be able to operate a scanner gun.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience working in a picking/pulling role preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel/reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.   
The employee frequently is required to sit and walk.  The employee is occasionally required to bend and stoop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
