This position is responsible for rolling out laminated raw materials, forming the material into the shape of the mold. Secondary operations include but are not limited to assuring all products are void of air in the laminate and transporting molds along the production line.
Essential Functions:
- Roll out wet laminate onto the mold surface
- Ensure that the material forms into the shape of the mold
- Eliminate all air voids during roll out process
- Clean and maintain all tools and equipment,
- Push molds to move line.
- Assist in cleaning lamination area.
- May be required to move to another area to assist in rolling other parts
- Work production line with consistent speed and accuracy
- Make every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality
- Work cooperatively with a team to meet quotas and goals
- Observe all safety guidelines, including required PPE (protective personnel equipment) and report safety concerns to management
- Follow all written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Able to work overtime, including weekends if necessary
Shift and Pay
- 3rd shift 10pm-6am
- $14-$16 an hour depending on experience
Technical Knowledge
- Ability to use laminating rollers, brushes and other tools as required.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently pushes fiberglass parts weighing up to 100 pounds, and must be able to move these parts up to 40 feet.
- Frequently positions self around molds that are various sizes and heights to roll out part.
- Frequently feels wet laminate for air voids.
- Continuously grasps roller to roll out laminated raw materials onto the part.
Working Conditions:
- This position is exposed to extreme indoor temperatures, fumes, dust and loud noise.
