Job Description

Pro Resources is seeking a candidate for a 1st shift Inventory Control Specialist . This candidate would be responsible for unloads shipments, checks that the correct items arrive in good condition, stores them in the proper location, and records all receipts quickly. The job requires using a pallet jack or forklift to move raw materials and finished goods. The associate also picks and releases materials for specific jobs, records counts, and resolves quantity or quality issues. The role includes supporting internal staff with material transfers, performing random checks and audits, and completing regular cycle counts at both internal and vendor locations to maintain accurate inventory.

Shift and Compensation 
  • -Hours: 6am to 4pm Mon thru Thurs
    -Pay Rate: $19.00/hour with each work week typically being 39hours as 15minutes is deducted each day for lunch 
Job Duties
  • Unload trucks using a pallet jack or forklift.
  • Verify items against the pack slip and check for damage ( PC Skills)
  • Store materials in the correct location.
  • Notify shipping staff when items are ready.
  • Sign receiving documents when needed.
  • Process and record receipts in the system.
  • Identify overages, shortages, or damaged items.
  • Organize paperwork and contact vendors or suppliers for corrections.
  • Arrange returns, replacements, or corrected shipments.
  • Obtain and record updated paperwork from internal or external vendors.
  • Pick and stage materials for transfer to the vendor network.
  • Complete transfer documents, make copies, and note any backordered items.
  • File and track backorders for quick follow-up.
  • Record all material movement on the Inventory Material Control Sheet.
  • Assist staff with locating materials for fixture builds.
  • Investigate and resolve material shortages using electronic records, phone calls, or coordination with other teams.
  • Review vendor inventory sheets and compare to production needs.
  • Stage materials for pickup or notify delivery personnel.
  • Use tools like QuickBooks or purchasing staff to confirm incoming orders or needed replenishment.
  • Perform scheduled small inventory counts internally and at vendor sites.
  • Count high-value or critical items more frequently.
  • Correct inventory records when errors are found.
  • Assist with the annual company-wide physical inventory.
  • Identify fixtures with correct documentation and take photos if needed.
  • Load fixtures and components onto carriers.
  • Verify shipments using pack slips and bills of lading.
  • Support staging of materials for future shipments as needed.
Background Profile
  • PC Skills test is required 
  • QuickBooks experience 
  • 2 years forklift experience 
  • MS Office  experience required
