Shipping Material Handler – Pro Resources Staffing Services (Garrett, IN)
Pro Resources Staffing Services is partnered with a well-established company located in Garrett, IN, and we are currently seeking a Shipping Material Handler to join their warehouse team. This is a temporary position expected to last around 3 months, with the possibility of being directly hired at the end of the assignment.
Shift and Compensation
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay: $18.00/hour
Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments according to customer requirements and shipping schedules
Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts and other warehouse equipment
Verify contents of shipments, ensure accurate labeling, and inspect materials for damage
Maintain accurate records of shipping transactions, pallets, counts, and finished goods
Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines during the shipping process
Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve any discrepancies or quality concerns
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25–35 pounds continuously, and less than 25 pounds frequently
Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts, and physically perform tasks including bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting
Background Profile
Forklift experience is required
Previous shipping or warehouse experience is required
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
