We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Book Picker to join our warehouse team. The Book Picker is responsible for accurately selecting books from inventory based on customer orders and preparing them for packing and shipment. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Hours: 6am-230p Sunday- Thursday
Pay: $16.50
Key Responsibilities
Pick books from shelves according to order tickets or handheld scanner instructions
Verify title, author, ISBN, and quantity to ensure order accuracy
Safely transport picked items to the packing or staging area
Use barcode scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory
Maintain organized shelves and report low or misplaced stock
Assist with restocking and general warehouse tasks as needed
Follow company safety procedures and productivity standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is a plus
Basic computer and scanner operation skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
