Shift and Compensation
- 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8-5
- Pay : $20 / hour
Job Duties
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures; actively identify and recommend safety
improvements. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop standards.
- Learn to set up, program, and operate CNC machines and secondary-process equipment
under supervision. - Perform basic machining operations and assist with part loading, unloading, and inprocess checks.
- Conduct basic dimensional inspections using calipers and micrometers; submit all
inspection results for verification. - Maintain daily calibration logs for measuring instruments, including calipers,
micrometers, and refractometers. - Perform basic machine maintenance tasks such as adjusting coolant concentration and
emptying chip vacuum chambers. - Follow work instructions, routers, blueprints, and verbal guidance from senior
machinists and supervisors.
Background Profile
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
- Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and safety procedures.
- Computer and mechanical aptitude with an interest in machining or manufacturing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a shop environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis and up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis.
