Pro Resources is seeking a 1st Shift Controls Technician for a client in Fort Wayne, IN. The Controls Technician will drive automation (PLCs & robotics) activity for optimized production. The successful candidate will also be required to help maintain manufacturing equipment, building facilities, and support all preventative maintenance programs. Must have CMM Programming Experience. Shift and Compensation
- 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7-3:30 PM
- Pay : $26 / hour
Job Duties
- Troubleshooting and managing the plant optimization of control systems including PLC's, VFD's. I/O, vision systems, HMI's, industrial networking systems, DCS system, and automation and control software
- Ability to configure and make programming changes to PLC, HMI & robots
- Assist technical services in machine repair, changeover, set-up and operation as required
- Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled
- Have mechanical aptitude that compliments electrical capabilities
- Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required documentation
- Support of Production as and when required
- Work cross-functionally with maintenance and production
- May be required to design and draw schematics for equipment updates
- Work with outside vendors effectively coordinating work
Background Profile
- 3+ years of professional controls experience preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting/modifying programs in PLCs/HMIs, Fanuc Robots, Servos
- Experience in tube and pipe industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints and P&ID diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must have CMM Programming Experience
