Job Description

General Summary: 
Oversee daily operations of the Quality Lab Tech. Perform dimensional inspection on current and new program production parts using basic and advanced measurement techniques including the CMM, and Faro arm to ensure customer compliance. Oversee Gage Calibration system. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System. 
 
Pay: $23-$25hr.
Shift: 1st shift 7am-3pm
 
Essential Job Function: 
  1. Perform dimensional inspection of current and new program launch products (PPAP), using basic and advanced inspection equipment and techniques. (CMM, Faro Arm, Optical Comparator, Height Gage, Calipers, Micrometers, etc…). 
  2. Perform Gage Calibration (including gage R&R) and maintain system with GAGEtrack software 
  3. Provide quality support to manufacturing and engineering on process capability studies, dimensional inspections, and validation testing of products produced. 
  4. Assist Quality Manager and/or Quality Engineer in preparation of PPAP paperwork, including but not limited to Process Control plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow diagrams. 
  5. Provide quality support by filling in for quality and receiving auditor vacancies. 
  6. Assist in failure analysis of internal and external non-conforming material. 
  7. Assist in the notification, processing, and follow up with supplier sources on internal and external non-conforming material. 
  8. Assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System requirements. 
  9. Perform other essential duties as required. 
 
Minimum knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 
  1. A high school graduate, equivalent with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a quality lab environment, preferably with automotive applications. 
  2. Knowledge of and ability to use advanced test and measurement devices and equipment is required. (CMM w/ pcdmis software prefered) 
  3. Complete understanding of calibration procedures and techniques 
  4. Ability to interpret blueprints, and understand GD&T. 
  5. Proficient in computer operations, and use of Excel, Word, Power Point Email, Teams etc… . 
  6. Good interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork skills. 
  7. Knowledge of Quality Management System requirements.
