Load/unload components in weld fixtures, inspect and pack parts.
Operate welder in a safe and productive manner.
Visually inspect all parts for quality defects and notifies supervisor/team leader of problems.
Perform necessary housekeeping duties.
Perform quality checks using gages, running bolt through nuts to check threads, visual checks as required, etc, on a timely basis. Complete process inspection sheets, SPC checks if applicable.
Keep nut feeders stocked at least once a shift.
Rework parts as needed (sort, sand, deburr, etc.).
Repack for shipping as needed (damaged box, improper quantities).
Background Profile
High school diploma or equivalent; or demonstrated ability.
Ability to read operator specifications and check for defects in parts.
Capable of solving basic math problems.
Must be able to work effectively with a team of associates.
Capable of lifting 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to shoulder height.
Ability to bend at a 90 degree angle on a routine basis.
