Pro Resources has partnered with a local fabricator of I-Beams in Columbia City, and we're looking for general laborers to operate a cutting torch.
Hours:
Floating Shift: Could include working any shift as needed including weekends
Previous experience with overhead cranes is required. Must be willing to operate a cutting torch.
Job Description:
Candidates would need to perform duties by using an acetylene torch. The candidate will be cutting access metal from I-beams as a secondary process to the python machine. Must be familiar with overhead cranes. Candidate must be motivated and take direction well.
Essential Functions:
•Must be willing to work outside in the elements
•Utilize an acetylene torch to cut excess metal from I-Beams
•May be required to utilize the overhead crane as well
•Work as part of the team
•Follow all company rules and policies
•Follow all safety rules
•Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Qualifications:
•Ability to understand and comply with quality & safety standards
•Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50lbs
•Ability to perform simple math
Attire & PPE: Steel toes/metatarsals, jeans, t-shirts, hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection
Environment: Inside and Outside (not temp controlled) - Construction/Heavy industrial. Do not want to sugarcoat it, it is dirty, hot in the summer, cold in the winter.
