3rd Shift Cold Saw Operator
Pro Resources has partnered with a local manufacturer of I-beams in Columbia City, and we’re looking for a 3rd shift Processor.
Hours:
3rd Shift: 11pm – 7am
Pay:
$18/hour
Job Summary:
As a 3rd shift Processor, you’ll play a critical role in the processing operations. You’ll operate cold cutting saws to precisely size steel and metal products, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. You’ll support logistics workflows to ensure customers receive materials on time and to spec.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating cold saw to cut steel, piling components to specified dimensions, ensuring accuracy and precision
- Visual inspection of cut materials to confirm they meet job specifications, using measuring tools and tape measures, calipers, or micrometers
- Install blades and fixtures, perform routine equipment maintenance
- Stage raw materials for cutting, track job completion, and coordinate logistics team to prepare finished goods for shipping
-Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Accurately complete job tracking, logging paperwork or electronic entries to support production tracking
- Collaborate effectively with other staff, and be willing to assist in other areas, as needed
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience with wet saw operation in manufacturing or metal processing
- Willingness to work outside in the elements
- Ability to lift up 50-75 lbs. throughout the shift
- Ability to understand and comply with quality & safety standards
- Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50lbs
- Must be efficient with a tape measure
- Ability to perform simple math
- HSD/GED Preferred
