Barrel Grind Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Bremen, IN
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $23.00/hr + $1.00 shift premium
Position Summary
Seeking dependable Barrel Grind Operators to operate grinding and tumble equipment in a manufacturing environment producing needle rollers and bearings. Responsibilities include deburring, stock removal, quality checks, machine setup, and material handling while meeting production and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate grinding and tumble equipment including centerless and end grinders.
- Perform deburring, knob removal, and abrasive stock removal processes.
- Monitor product quality using gauges and inspection equipment.
- Complete quality documentation and follow process instructions.
- Load/unload materials and move product throughout production areas.
- Perform machine changeovers, troubleshooting, and wheel changes as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas using 5S standards.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing, grinding, or machine operator experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to work in hot environments and stand for entire shift.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
- Strong attendance, communication, and attention to detail required.
