CNC Operator
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay: $17.00/hr | Temp-to-Hire
Angola Wire Products, a trusted leader in American manufacturing for nearly 60 years, is seeking a skilled CNC Bend Operator to join our growing production team. We specialize in custom fabricated wire and steel products for OEM and retail clients, with a longstanding commitment to quality and integrity that reflects the best of "Made in America."
This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality wire racks, baskets, and similar components in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision work, have strong attention to detail, and are looking to grow in a supportive manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various CNC bending machines
- Read and interpret blueprints for production accuracy
- Use measuring tools and equipment to verify product dimensions
- Produce wire racks, baskets, and other custom wire products
- Conduct first and last piece inspections and routine quality checks
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure proper function
- Operate a forklift to manage materials and workflow
- Maintain organized documentation and records of production activity
- Communicate effectively with department supervisors regarding progress, issues, and quality updates
- Perform various quality assurance tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Requirements:
- Previous CNC setup and operation experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Strong math skills and ability to analyze data
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft systems
- Ability to stand for 10–12 hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (THC excluded)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior manufacturing or production experience
- Experience working with wire or steel products
- Experience in inspection and quality control
