Pro Resources is seeking a Corporate Health and Safety Manager for a client in Auburn, IN. This individual holds the Corporate Management Level HSE Position which is responsible for planning, maintaining, creating, and executing Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives in accordance to Regulatory Requirements and applicable ISO and Industry Standards. This management position will ensure that HSE protocols, policies and practices are in compliance with related standards, appropriately implemented and maintained.
This position will be based 2 days in Auburn and 3 days in Churubusco, IN.
Shift and Compensation
- Compensation is from 65,000 USD to 90,000 USD per year
- Monday through Friday 7-4 PM

Job Duties
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA Regulatory Requirements.
- Manage the Safety Management Program in accordance to the ISO 45001 Standard.
- Maintain the Environmental Management Program in accordance to the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard.
- Oversee Fire Safety and related Building Codes Standards.
- Manage programs for the prevention of environmental health issues within facilities.
- Identify items of Non-compliance or Opportunities for Improvement.
- Cooperate with the Human Resource Department in analyzing and evaluating accidents, preparing injury reports, identify problem areas, recommend/develop techniques to improve safety measures and eliminate/prevent/decrease occurrences.
- Serve as a mentor resource for company HSE committees.
- Conduct OSHA safety training.
- Assist in conducting ergonomics assessments and training.
- Maintain necessary internal and external training records, systems, databases.
- Cooperate with the Human Resource Department in investigating complaints of health and safety issues while maintaining confidentiality.
- Conducting on-site inspections, prepare reports, initiate corrective actions, and conduct follow-up inspections.
- Provide advice, guidance, and assistance to Executive Management, Operational Management and department heads regarding safety measures, compliance with OSHA standards and C&A policies and procedures.
- Manage Hazardous materials, waste, and recycling handling.
Background Profile
- Have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in HSE or related filed.
- Have managerial understanding of OSHA Safety Regulatory Requirements, EPA Environmental Regulatory Requirements, the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard and the ISO 45001 Safety Standard.
- Have managerial understanding of DOT and RCRA waste shipment requirements.
- Have a minimum of five years of HSE Experience.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and planning focused skills.
- Experience with analyzing data, new processes, and machinery/equipment safety compliance.
- Experience with conducting Job Hazard and Safety Analyses.
- Experience in emergency response.
- Experience in Workers Compensation Case Management.
- Experience with conduction Accident Investigations.
- Experience and competent in conducting employee HSE Training.
- Can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of people in situations that could involve confrontation.
