Shift: 2nd Shift (4pm-3am; must train on 1st shift for about 6-8 weeks 6am-2:30pm)

Pro Resources is looking for an experienced Group Leader for a customer in Lafayette. This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced automotive environment. You’ll be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day operations of a department while driving safety, productivity, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, direct, and support a team of 5–10 employees in a warehouse/production setting
Ensure department goals are met for safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
Conduct problem-solving using PDCA, 5-Why, and other continuous improvement tools
Monitor performance metrics using Hoshin and FMDS
Enforce and support company policies and environmental/safety standards (OSHA, ISO14001)
Train team members on standardized work and ensure process adherence
Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions
Ensure adequate staffing, tools, and equipment for smooth operations
Manage timekeeping approvals and team schedules
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
Report key data to management on time with accuracy
Assist with other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED required
4–6 years of experience in a warehouse/logistics environment
Prior leadership/supervisory experience (5–10 team members)
Strong background in process improvement and standardization
Knowledge of TPS principles, problem-solving (PDCA, 5-Why, etc.)
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer use
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Valid forklift license with minimum 1 year of experience
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Prior knowledge of warehouse rules and regulations is a plus
