Forklift Operator-Toyota Warehouse
Operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials in a warehouse or industrial setting. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, maneuvering in narrow spaces, inspecting equipment, maintaining inventory records, and following safety protocols. Key skills include forklift operation, safety awareness, spatial coordination, attention to detail, physical stamina, and communication. A valid forklift operator certification and prior experience required.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks, containers, and shelves using the forklift.
- Organizing and arranging materials and products in designated storage areas to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient retrieval.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory movement, including incoming and outgoing shipments, and updating inventory systems accordingly.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established guidelines for loading and stacking loads.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating a forklift, including the ability to handle various types of loads, such as pallets, crates, and containers.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to forklift operation.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to maneuver the forklift safely in tight spaces.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with other warehouse personnel and supervisors.
