Position: Foam Gun Operator
Pay: $17/hour + Incentive
Hours: 1st shift
Job Summary:
The Foam Gun Operator is responsible for applying insulating foam to industrial doors during the manufacturing process, ensuring proper coverage, adhesion, and quality.
Essential Functions:
- Operate and maintain foam dispensing equipment to apply insulating foam into door panel shells according to specifications
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical instructions to determine foam application requirements
- Ensure consistent and even distribution of foam to meet insulation and structural integrity standards
- Monitor foam expansion and curing process to prevent defects such as voids, overflows, or underfilling
- Perform regular checks on equipment, adjusting settings as needed for proper flow and application
- Clean and maintain foam guns, hoses, and related equipment to prevent clogging and ensure smooth operation
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to optimize workflow
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisors
- Work closely with team members and supervisor to meet production goals
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Ability to lift and handle heavy doors and materials up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
- Hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity and strength
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and adjusting equipment
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and work orders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to use measuring instruments and calculate and set timers
- Meet established efficiencies, follow and support company policies
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Programs/Machinery/Tools/Equipment
- Foam gun, utility knife, screw driver, hydraulic fixtures, hammer, tape measure
- Industrial door carts, pallet jacks
Required Education/Credentials/Experience:
- 1-2 Years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Training in chemical handling or industrial equipment operation is a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of working in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can be 50 degrees to 110 degrees
- Ability to work in a Manufacturing setting with exposure to foam chemicals and production machinery
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch frequently
- Ability to Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs with assistance constantly
- Ability to reach and handle objects frequently
- Regular work schedule is Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Overtime may be required, including some weekends based on business need. Regular work schedule may be changed at any time based on the needs of the business
